I-90 East Construction In Westlake Starts June 23
Columbia Road and I-90 east will be under construction until the fall, the city says.

WESTLAKE, OH — Starting Friday, I-90 and Columbia Road will enter the next phase of construction. The eastbound ramp will be reconfigured and the roadway will be widened. The relevant section of I-90 east, which is traditionally three lanes, will shift down to one lane for approximately one month, the city says.
Construction will start June 23 at 6 a.m. Traffic will be maintained in both directions during the work. (To stay up to date on local stories, subscribe to the Patch Westlake newsletter. As news breaks and the story develops, you will be the first to receive updates from Patch.)
The work started on Friday is one of two projects impacting Columbia Road and I-90 that will be conducted this summer. The second will start late in the season and will see the entrance ramp to I-90 east closed for 45 days.
