• Westlake City Council authorizes construction contract for police station renovation (cleveland.com) — Westlake City Council has approved a construction contract of up to $1.3 million to renovate the city's police station, with total project costs estimated around $2.76 million. Work will modernize lockers, dispatch technology, and shared spaces, and could also bring the regional Westcom fire dispatch center into the building, creating a more secure, expandable 911 hub for Westlake and neighboring communities.
   

• Resident reports theft of pickup truck: Westlake Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Westlake police are investigating the theft of a locked 2020 GMC pickup, which was taken early Oct. 8 from a Detroit Road condo lot, with a handgun inside. Officers also handled a medical-related crash on Hilliard Boulevard and a BB gun misunderstanding on Detroit Road, all involving Westlake-area locations and residents.
   

• Travis Kelce in attendance for Guardians-White Sox ALDS Game 5 (wkyc.com) — Westlake native Travis Kelce was back in Northeast Ohio this weekend, cheering on the Cleveland Guardians in their decisive ALDS Game 5 against the White Sox.
