Increased Traffic Expected in Westlake Due to Train Crossing Construction

Construction on the railroad crossing on Columbia Road in Bay Village will cause traffic delays.

WESTLAKE, OH - Starting today, construction on the railroad crossing on Columbia Road in Bay Village will create traffic delays in Westlake.

The crossing is undergoing maintenance this week, Sept. 26 through Oct. 1, and traffic will be diverted. Columbia Road will be closed at the train tracks which are north of the I-90 interchange between Eaton Rd. and First Street.

The city of Westlake is warning residents who use Detroit Road, and the I-90 entrances and exits on Crocker and Clague Roads, to build-in extra time for their commute during the construction period.
