• Surdyk to Present at October RRE Meeting (wordpress.com) — Railroad fans in Westlake can catch a special slide show on steam and electric trains when the Forest City Division of the Railroad Enthusiasts meets Friday, Oct. 16, at Church of the Redeemer on Center Ridge Road. The evening program starts at 8:15 p.m. and also serves as a reminder for members to pay their annual dues. 
• Westlake considers e-bike ordinance setting age restriction, prohibiting sidewalk use (cleveland.com) — Westlake City Council is weighing new rules that would bar riders under 14 from using e-bikes and other e-mobility devices on city streets and ban these devices from sidewalks and paths. The proposal, up for further discussion Oct. 15, also sets helmet requirements for minors and speed and passenger limits that could change how residents ride around town.
• Falcons go to Purdue Fall Invitational for final fall event (bgfalconmedia.com) — Bowling Green State University's men's golf team is heading to Purdue's Fall Invitational after finishing ninth out of 12 teams at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational in Westlake. The earlier Westlake event saw three Falcons place in the top 22, giving local fans a benchmark as the team tackles a strong field in Indiana this week.
