Westlake Couple Robbed at Gunpoint on Halloween

WESTLAKE, OH - A Hilliard Boulevard couple were robbed at gunpoint by a pair of unidentified men. The husband, a 42-year-old, was hit over the head with a handgun.

The robbery took place on Halloween. According to the 36-year-old wife, the suspects rang the doorbell. Thinking they were trick-or-treaters the woman opened the door. The suspects then stormed into the house. The husband was hit with the gun and he was knocked unconscious.

Both the husband and wife were transported to St. John Medical Center where they were treated and released. The police report says the burglars made off with cash. Police declined to say how much money was taken but they did say that it was, "a lot."

The investigation into the case is continuing.
