• Western Reserve to close for railroad work (vindy.com) — Drivers in southern Mahoning County should prepare for Western Reserve Road to close for two weeks starting Sept. 14 so Youngstown & Southeastern Railroad can upgrade the crossing at Southern Boulevard. The work is one of the final steps in a $20 million widening project, with Youngstown-based Marucci and Gaffney Excavating as contractor and new signals and turn lanes aimed at improving long-problematic traffic and safety.
