• Oklahoma Wheat Commission Names 2026 Best of Wheat Bread Baking Contest Champions (oklahomafarmreport.com) — Kingfisher County is represented among this year's Best of Wheat champions, with local baker Don Robison taking the senior whole wheat breads title at the Oklahoma State Fair competition. The statewide contest drew 109 entries from 48 counties, celebrated Route 66's centennial, and will share top recipes online in a 2027 cookbook for home bakers to try.
