Staff at Kerr are organizing a petition and Sept. 30 gathering before the school board's expected October vote.

3. Tulsa Council hears comments, plans more debate before vote on police oversight plan (newson6.com) — Tulsa's City Council is moving toward an October 14 vote on creating an independent office to review police and other public safety agencies, including a civilian oversight board. Councilors are split over cost and structure, with some citing large legal settlements and others questioning whether a new office without subpoena power would be effective.

Tulsa Fire Department to use Manna Air Delivery for medical emergencies (kjrh.com) — Tulsa residents will soon see drones helping firefighters deliver defibrillators and trauma kits before trucks arrive, thanks to a new pilot partnership between Tulsa Fire Department and Manna Air Delivery. The Ireland-based company, which bases its U.S. operations in Tulsa, isn't charging the city during testing and also plans a north Tulsa manufacturing hub that could employ up to 100 people.
