• UPDATE: Police find vehicle that fatally struck construction worker in Gresham (sandypost.com) — Police have located the car believed to have fatally struck construction flagger Miguel Jimenez in a Gresham work zone on Northeast Hogan Drive, but no arrests have been made yet. Gresham police urge anyone with information to contact Officer Trevor Polverini or the department's tip line, and they're reminding drivers to slow down and stay alert in local construction zones. 
• Stark Street Bridge preservation plan features downstream replacement (theoutlookonline.com) — A major plan is moving forward to replace the aging Stark Street Bridge over the Sandy River while preserving the historic span for walking and biking, affecting how Gresham-area residents cross toward the Gorge. Multnomah County is asking for public input through an online survey open until Oct. 19 to help shape the design of the wider, more earthquake‑resilient bridge.
