• Lake Oswego City Council approves $1 million budget to replace Del Prado water main (lakeoswegoreview.com) — Lake Oswego residents on Del Prado and in Mountain Park just saw the city council approve a $1 million emergency contract to replace the aging water main that ruptured Aug. 21 and triggered a boil-water notice. Crews have already repaired the break, the precautionary notice is lifted, and Public Works expects street and pipe replacement work to be substantially complete by mid-October.

• Feel-good screwball comedy coming to Lake Oswego theater next month (lakeoswegoreview.com) — Lake Oswego theatergoers can look forward to a feel-good escape when Lakewood Center for the Arts stages the classic screwball comedy "You Can't Take It With You" from Sept. 11 through Oct. 18. The production promises fast-paced wit, quirky characters, and surprisingly timely themes about finding your own path in a complicated society.
