• Bi-Partisan Bill Proposed to Provide Firefighters, EMS with Mental Health Support (firehouse.com) — A new bipartisan bill from Rep. Andrea Salinas, announced at a Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue station near Lake Oswego, would fund nationwide mental health support for firefighters and EMS. The proposal would create a $7.5 million annual grant program for suicide prevention, counseling, peer support, and family services for first responders.
• U.S. News high school rankings 2026: Where Oregon schools stand nationally (oregonlive.com) — Two Lake Oswego schools made Oregon's elite list in the latest U.S. News & World Report high school rankings, with Lake Oswego High at No. 391 nationally and Lakeridge also among the state's top performers. The rankings weigh test scores, graduation rates, and college readiness, giving extra credit to schools effectively serving low-income and minority students.
