Portland Police Seek Violent Robber [VIDEO]

Robber knocked woman to the ground by striking her in the head with his gun.

Portland Police are looking for help identifying the man who barged into a bar into a bar in Southeast Portland, robbed the place, and knocked an employee to the ground by striking her in the head with his gun.

It happened at Maddy's at 17102 Southeast Powell Boulevard.

It was around 9:30 on Wednesday. A 64-year-old woman was working at the bar, cleaning the counter when a man walked up to her from behind and demanded money. She could feel something pressed against her, look back, and saw the man had a gun.

She opened the register and the robber began putting money into a bag. He demanded more money and then knocked her in the head with his gun, sending her to the ground.

The thief then left the bar and rode away westbound on Powell on a black sport motorcycle. One customer was in the bar but didn't see anything until she heard the victim yell after being struck by the suspect.

The suspect is a white male, approximately 5'10" tall, and 180 pounds. During the robbery, the suspect work his black motorcycle helmet, a black jacket, glove, and tan or cream-colored pants.
