Fake Nurse Sexually Assaulted Montco Urgent Care Patients: Police
Abington Township Police charged a man Monday with sexual assault at the Carbon Health Urgent Care. In one incident, he posed as a nurse.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —An urgent care center employee has been charged with the sexual assault of two women in which he posed as a nurse in one incident and sought a date in the other case, police said.
Ramon Garcia was charged with aggravated indecent assault (a 2nd-degree felony), indecent assault, and two counts of invasion of privacy. He is being held at the Abington Police Department pending his arraignment.
Police are investigating whether there may be more victims who have yet to come forward.

On March 1, a woman told police that she went to the Carbon Health Urgent Care, located at 1585 The Fairway, in the township's Jenkintown section, for a pre-employment drug screening.
When she arrived, she was met by an employee, who identified himself as “Ramon,” and who was later identified as Garcia, police said.

Garcia told the victim that she had to urinate into a cup and that she was randomly selected to “be observed,” police said.
Garcia watched the victim pull up her dress and urinate into the cup. After the sample was taken, Garcia gave the victim his phone number and asked if she would go on a date with him.
While the case was being investigated, police said a second report came in.
On Sunday, a second woman told police that she was inappropriately touched during an examination at the same Carbon Health Urgent Care.
The victim reported that she went to Urgent Care for treatment on Saturday.
She was met by “Ramon” at the front desk, who identified himself to her as a nurse and led her to an examination room.
Garcia instructed her to undress. He then put on latex gloves and conducted a pelvic exam, penetrating her with his fingers, police said.
At another point in his encounter with the victim, he helped her take off her pants a second time and started touching her again.
Garcia moved his head towards her pelvic area, and the victim said “No,” and got dressed.
Garcia was making verbal advances as well, asking the victim if she was in a relationship, and if she had any fantasies, police said. Garcia also gave this victim his phone number before she left the office.
Ramon was arrested by Abington Detectives while he was working his shift at Carbon Health on Monday.
Police said that Garcia was employed at Carbon Health as a medical assistant.
His job description included signing in patients, taking vital signs, and, if directed by a physician, taking blood samples.
He would not have been authorized to participate in the undressing of any patients, police said. Garcia was not trained, instructed, nor permitted to conduct examinations or observe urine sample tests such as those that were reported by these victims. Garcia is not a licensed nurse.
Garcia has worked at the Abington Township location since July 2023, and it is believed that he may have previously worked at other Carbon Health Urgent Care facilities, possibly in Montgomery Township and Dresher.
Anyone with additional information regarding the investigation or who believes that they may have also been a victim of Garcia should call Detective Jeff Anderson of the Abington Police Special Victim’s Unit, at 267-536-1102 or janderson@abingtonpa.gov.
