1. 3 Juveniles Charged In Racist Spray Painting Crime At Abington Park (patch.com) β Racist graffiti was spray-painted across Weldon Playground in Abington Township's Glenside section, and three juveniles are now charged with ethnic intimidation and criminal mischief. Police condemned the antisemitic and anti-Black messages, while residents quickly gathered at the playground for a ceremony denouncing hatred and supporting affected neighbors.

Abington's Career Closet Gets a Glowing Review from Governor (psu.edu) β Penn State Abington students now have easier access to free professional clothing through the upgraded Career Closet in Sutherland Hall, recently praised in person by Governor Josh Shapiro. Open weekdays, the space offers donated business attire to help students prepare for events like the October 21 Internship and Career Fair and other career-building opportunities on and off campus.

Highlighting CAPS Resources during Depression Awareness Month (psu.edu) β If you're a Penn State Abington student struggling with depression or worried about a friend, campus Counseling and Psychological Services is offering free individual sessions, groups, and peer counseling this month. Dropβin hours in Lares and 24/7 crisis lines make it easier to ask questions, learn how to support others, and get confidential help before things feel overwhelming.

4. Penn State Abington's New Academic Building (psu.edu) β Penn State Abington students are settling into a brand-new $68 million academic building, the campus's first new facility in 50 years. With 17 classrooms, labs, studios, and bright collaborative spaces, students say the modern design, better climate control, and plentiful study rooms make campus life more comfortable, connected, and closer to the college experience they hoped for.

5. Jenkintown schools need more space. The district may buy an affordable housing complex.
