Armed Robbery At Abington's Aldi Food Store: Cops
The suspect shoved a female employee to the ground, pointed the handgun at her, and had her lead him to the cash register, police said.

ABINGTON, PA -- An armed robbery took place at the Aldi Food Store in the Willow Grove section of the township on Monday afternoon, police announced.
The incident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. at the store on 1955 Davisville Road, authorities said. A man wearing a black jacket and a ski-mask entered the store holding a semi-automatic handgun.
The suspect came up to a female employee, shoved her to the ground, pointed the handgun at her, and had her lead him to the cash register, police said.

The man then took an unknown amount of cash from the register and fled the store on foot, according to police.
No injuries were reported and no shots were fired during the incident.

It's the latest armed robbery robbery to hit the township. Three armed robberies were reported at the same township 7-11 during 2016. Armed robberies have also hit local pharmacies in recent months.
