New Details On $5M Drug Ring Busted In Bucks
For over six months, the "Byrne Drug Trafficking Organization" shipped $5 million in methamphetamine and cocaine from California to Bucks County, often using Bluetooth Karaoke speakers to conceal the drugs, authorities said. DEP Fines Abington $34K For Paperwork Snafu
Abington Township is paying a $34,100 fine to the Department of Environmental Protection as a civil penalty. At its recent meeting, the Abington Township Board of Commissioners authorized the payment from its refuse fund balance with officials saying that the fine was from "no environmental harm and was purely administrative." Illegal Firearm Recovered At Hatboro Business
The Hatboro Borough Police Department has charged a man Wednesday for having an illegal firearm. Hatboro police officers responded on July 29 to a business on South Warminster Road where a firearm was recovered. After an investigation, police charged Joseph Fitzgerald, 42, for the weapons violation. It was unknown where Fitzgerald lived. (Read More On Patch)
