Card Skimmers Found On 2 Abington Township ATMs
Credit card skimmers were found on ATMs at two 7-Eleven stores in Abington, one in Glenside and the other in North Hills, police said.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington Police found two credit card skimmers on convenience store ATMs recently.
According to Abington Township Police, skimmers were located on ATMs at two 7-Eleven stores.
One of the stores is 362 Easton Road in Glenside and the other at 2869 Limekiln Pike in North Hills.

Luckily, police said the devices were found before card data could be retrieved.
The skimmers were found on March 2 and can allow criminals to record the information from the magnetic strip on your debit card and subsequently create a duplicate card.

Additionally, cameras are installed to record users' PINs.
This announcement comes on the heels of skimmers being found in Norristown.
Police urge ATM users to check for suspicious devices or modifications to ATMs and to cover the keypad when entering PINs for increased safety.
