Cheltenham school officials will be seeking community feedback on its new comprehensive plan for the next several years.

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Cheltenham School District is holding community sessions to develop its strategic plan over the next several years.

Schools Superintendent Brian W. Scriven said the school district's strength has always been grounded in the collective voice, shared commitment, and deep partnership of the community we serve.

He said the school district is now developing its 2026–2031 Strategic Plan.

"Over the past several years, we have built strong foundations together that clarified who we are and what we stand for as a district," the superintendent said. "As we look ahead to the next five years, we now have the opportunity—and responsibility—to ensure our future direction reflects not only our aspirations, but also the lived experiences, insights, and priorities of those who make Cheltenham the exceptional community it is. This strategic planning process is not about creating a document. It is about shaping a shared future."

In the coming months, the school district will be convening a series of structured engagement sessions with students, families, staff, board members, and community partners.

The sessions will provide meaningful opportunities to reflect on our progress, identify priorities, and help shape the next chapter of our district.

These are some of the essential questions the school district hopes to receive feedback for:

  • How do we ensure every student experiences a deep sense of belonging?
  • How do we prepare every graduate for success beyond Cheltenham?
  • How do we best support our staff, strengthen our systems, and serve our community with excellence?
  • How do we ensure our mission of Belonging, Becoming, and Excelling is consistently realized for all?

School officials said the most successful strategic plans are those built not for the community, but with the community.

These are some of the session dates:

  • April 9, 4:30 - 6 p.m., virtual
  • May 7, 4:30 - 6 p.m., virtual
  • May 27, 4:30 - 6 p.m., in-person (Cedarbrook Middle Learning Commons)
