• Abington Senior High Honors 9/11 Victims: Photos (patch.com) — Abington Senior High students in Abington Township held a solemn ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, honoring victims and survivors. The observance connected local students to national history while larger memorials took place in New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
   

• Shoremen Bested by Eagles (washcollsports.com) — Washington College men's soccer will visit Penn State Abington in Montgomery County on Wednesday, Sept. 16, for a 4 p.m. non-conference matchup against the Nittany Lions. The Shoremen are coming off a 3–1 road loss to Mary Washington but generated solid chances, setting up an interesting test for local fans to watch on Abington's home field.
