Trump Fires Third Law Enforcement Official Probing His Associates

FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday joined former Attorney General Sally Yates and former Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara as law enforcement officials fired by President Trump while they were overseeing probes of his associates. The Justice Department said it was Comey's handling of the Clinton probe — something Trump had praised him for. (Patch).

If The FBI Director's Not Safe, What About Reporters?

Well, if you're a reporter in West Virginia and you're trying to get Trump administration officials to answer questions, you might just end up in jail. Just ask Dan Heyman, who was thrown behind bars for trying to question HHS Secretary Tom Price and White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway. (Patch).

Meanwhile, More Trouble For Michael Flynn

In a story that CNN says it had been working on before the Comey story broke, it turns out that associates of fired National Security Advisor and perceived security risk Michael Flynn have been subpoenaed as part of a federal probe. (Patch).

Kimmel 'Apologizes'

Not really. The late-night talk show host said he was apologizing for saying kids in America should have health care. What he was really doing was firing back at critics who thought, for some reason, that was an inappropriate sentiment. (Patch).

Arson Blamed For Hundreds Of Florida Wildfires

It's only May, and wildfires have burned more than 20,000 acres in Florida. Officials now say that 320 of those fires were caused by arson. (Patch).

911 Call From Penn State Frat Death Released

The call was made 12 hours after the kid fell down a flight of stairs. That does not get mentioned on the call. The kid died the next day. (Patch).

Airline News 1: Brawl Caught On Video

A man was arrested after getting into a brawl aboard a Southwest Airlines flight from Dallas to Burbank. We mentioned it was caught on video, right? (Patch).

Aaron Hernandez: No Longer A Convicted Murderer

In death, he got what he didn't get in life: his conviction vacated. Aaron Hernandez is no longer the man who murdered Odin Lloyd because of a Massachusetts law that says if you die while your appeal goes through the system, your conviction is vacated. Some say this will hurt Lloyd's family's chances of recovering money in a civil suit, but remember OJ was acquitted and still lost the civil suit. (Patch).

Airline News 2: Wanted To Go To Paris, Ended Up In San Francisco

Of course, this involves United. A woman who speaks no English went to the gate her ticket said so she could go to Paris. Not speaking English, she didn't realize her plane had been moved to another gate. She got on a plane to San Francisco. The gate agent and stewardess, both of whom you would think spoke English, did not pick up on the mix-up. The woman eventually made it. Thank god she wasn't a giant bunny. (Patch).

Suspected Hate Crime Victim: No One Helped Me

Kevin Wilcox lay bleeding and unconscious in Miami Beach. No one, apparently, stopped to help him. He had been beaten, the victim of a hate crime, he says. Police are still investigating. (Patch).

Pistons Coach Adopts Overlooked Dog

Little Traverse Bay Humane Society had an empty the shelter event last month. Forty-nine dogs and cats were adopted. Everyone but Eastwood, a partially blind lab with a bum leg. Pistons Coach Stan Van Gundy's heart melted. He adopted the adorable pup. (Patch).
