'Senior Assassin' Game Underway In Abington, Police Warn

Abington High School students are playing the game again, Abington Police warn residents.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Abington High School seniors are once again taking part in the "Senior Assassin" game, police are warning.

For those unfamiliar, it’s a game where students “stalk” and “eliminate” each other using water guns, trying to be the last one standing.

While it may seem like harmless fun to students, Abington Police said the game can cause serious concern to the public, especially when it involves sneaking around neighborhoods or hiding in unexpected places.

Police said students playing should be reminded that their safety and the safety of others is a top priority.

Police are providing these tips for those high school students who are participating:

  • Do not trespass—especially at night. If someone asks you to leave, do so immediately.
  • Use brightly colored water toys. Avoid anything that could be mistaken for a real weapon.
  • Do not wear masks or dark/camouflage clothing.
  • If you encounter police, do not run or hide. Cooperate and explain what’s going on.

Any residents who see something suspicious should call 911.
