A Philadelphia man with ties to the death last year of an Abington Township resident has been indicted on federal charges related to firearms trafficking, police said. Adair Jackson. 43, was arrested at his residence by ATF Agents and Abington detectives on the morning of Sept. 5, Lt. Steve Fink said. Last September, Abington Police responded to a medical emergency in the 900 block of Rydal Road where they discovered a deceased 53-year-old man. (Read More)

Wawa Now Selling Alcohol in Hatboro

Hatboro officials fought against the Wawa convenience store. Then they fought against the store selling alcohol after it opened. The store now sits on the corner of York and Horsham roads. And the Wawa is now selling wine and beer. In a public hearing last year, Hatboro Borough Council had voted 5-2 to reject a liquor license transfer at a public hearing before 25 people in which Wawa pitched plans to sell alcohol. (Read More)

2 New School Resource Officers Named In Abington

The Abington Township Police Department has named two from its force to serve as school resource officers for the 2024-2025 school year. Abington Police said that Police Officers Dustin Wittmer and Drew Saurman are both excited to take on their new roles. "They will be teaming up with school staff to provide a safe learning environment while building positive connections with students, police said. (Read More)

Woman Charged For Motor Vehicle Theft In Hatboro

A 48-year-old woman has been charged with motor vehicle theft after she showed up at the Wawa on South York Road, police said. The Hatboro Borough Police Department said they found out at 7 p.m. Wednesday that a stolen vehicle may have been traveling in the area. After briefly surveying the area, police officers located the vehicle as it entered the Wawa at 412 S. York Rd. (Read More)

Amazon Fresh Opening 4th PA Store

Amazon Fresh is expanding its footprint in Pennsylvania, opening its fourth location in the state —and third in Bucks County —in the next two weeks. The Sept. 26 opening of Amazon Fresh's Oxford Valley store comes about a month after another supermarket opened on Street Road in Bensalem Township. The new 44,500-square-foot store will be located at 2424 Lincoln Highway in Langhorne and open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. (Read More)
