1. A 14-year-old accused of shooting two older teens after a party has been charged with attempted homicide, officials said. The teen was in a car that pulled up beside them, and then fired at the other two with a gun he had borrowed, according to police reports. (Read more on Patch.)

2. Testimony ended Wednesday in the trial of the man accused of the worst antisemitic attack in the nation's history. Robert Bowers is accused of gunning down 11 congregants at the Tree of Life Synagogue, and his defense attorneys said they had no evidence to present after the final person to testify detailed the horror she experienced. 3. The truck driver who died in a fiery crash that collapsed part of I-95 has been identified by officials, who also listed blunt force trauma and thermal injuries among the causes of his death. New Jersey resident Nathan Moody, 53, was transporting 8,500 gallons of gasoline in a tanker truck and crashed on one of the ramps Sunday morning. (Read more on Patch.)

4. Headline performers Lizzo and SZA were announced as the main draws for the Made in America Festival, happening Labor Day in Philadelphia. And, the hip-hop stars are breaking ground as it's the first time two women have headlined this festival. 5. Police say a man hit his 15-year-old daughter in the head with a beer bottle at a Bucks County hotel during an argument, then left his children in the hotel with drug and a loaded gun. When officers arrived to investigate, they found a loaded semi-automatic handgun as well as more than 100 bags of suspected fentanyl according to officials.
