Lower Gwynedd Township Amends Building Code for Frost Protection
Building Code Amendment expands the size of buildings to 200 ft. before needing to be on pilings or a foundation.

At the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, the Supervisors approved Ordinance 423, which amends the township building code for frost protection for buildings and structures under 200 feet.
Previously buildings under 100 feet, particularly backyard sheds, needed to be on pilings or on a foundation.
The amendment increases the size of buildings to 200 feet before pilings or a foundation is required by township building code.
