"I graduated from Wissahickon High School in June 2015 and was in the district since kindergarten. I had a great experience at WSD," one alumni wrote in a review of the district. "Everyone who worked there was committed to helping each student reach their full potential. I was put in a setting where I was challenged as both the students and the teachers cared. I also grew a lot throughout my time in the district and my teachers really helped me get out of my shell. I felt very well prepared for college"
To compile the ranking, 50 percent was based on parent and student surveys on health and safety. Student absenteeism, suspensions and expulsions were also factored into the rankings, well as percentage of students referred to law enforcement and school-related arrests.
