2 Lower Merion Roads Closing Monday

Roads in Merion Station and in Haverford are closing as crews conduct various tree-related work Monday. See details here.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Two roads in Lower Merion township are closing Monday for tree work, according to the township.

Heath Road in Merion Station will close from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18.

The road will close between Zollinger Way and Baird Road to accommodate the plating of a mature tree at 550 Heath Road.

Local traffic and emergency vehicles will not be able to get through the work zone during these hours as a large crane will be used to deliver the tree.

Additionally, New Gulph Road in Haverford will close from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as crews work to remove dangerous trees overhanging the road.

The road will close between Montgomery Avenue and Pennswood Road.

Emergency vehicles and residents will not have access during this time, the township said.
