Alleged Ardmore Perfume Thief Hit With Felony Theft Charge

A Delaware County woman is accused of stealing nearly $500 worth of perfume from a Suburban Square store in late December.

ARDMORE, PA – A Delaware County woman is facing a felony retail theft charge after allegedly stealing perfume from an Ardmore store in late December, according to court records and a media report.

Michelle Toohey-O'Brien, 47, of Glen Mills, Delaware County, was charged with felony retail theft and receiving stolen property in connection with a Dec. 30 incident at a Suburban Square store.

Toohey-O’Brien allegedly stole three bottles of perfume from Bluemercury in Suburban Square on that date, according to Main Line Media News.

After she allegedly left the store without paying, police said she was found to be in possession of two $180 bottles of perfume and one $128 bottle of perfume.

Toohey-O’Brien was released on $10,000 unsecured bail on Jan. 2, court records show.

She is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 1, according to court documents.
