Armed Robber Hits Lower Merion Gas Station Thursday: Police

Police said early Thursday morning the man forced his way into the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded cash.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Lower Merion Township Police are reporting an gunpoint robbery in the township that occurred early Thursday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 at a Sunoco gas station at 101 Belmont Ave. in the Bala Cynwyd section of the township.

A black male wearing a black jacket and a black ski mask forced his way into the store, police said.

The man pulled out a handgun and demanded cash, according to police.

The suspect made off with money and cigarettes, police said.
