Armed Robbery Reported On Wynnewood Walking Trail Tuesday

The robbery occurred Tuesday afternoon in broad daylight on the trail between the Wynnewood Train Station and the Thomas Wayne Apartments.

WYNNEWOOD, PA – An armed robbery occurred Tuesday in the Wynnewood section of Lower Merion Township in broad daylight, according to police.

Lower Merion Police said the armed robbery happened at about 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19 on the walking trail between the Wynnewood Train Station and the Thomas Wayne Apartments.

The victim was approached a man, aged between 20 and 30 years old, who demanded the victim's wallet several times, police said.

The suspect fled the area without making off with the victims wallet and the victim called 911, police said.

The suspect was wearing black pants, a dark jacket, a blue and white hat, and a bandanna around his face.

Officials said they are unsure of what kind of weapon was used in the incident.
