Cricket Avenue Area Seeing Extensive PECO Work: Lower Merion Twp.

The work will be taking place in the area of Cricket Avenue in Ardmore for several days. See full details here to avoid traffic headaches.

ARDMORE, PA – PECO is working on extensive electrical work in Ardmore, and specifically the Cricket Avenue area and nearby streets.

According to Lower Merion Township, the following is a list of work ongoing in the area related to PECO's electrical work.


Work on Cricket Terrace

Crews will be working in the area from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 through Thursday, Nov. 2.

The work will take place between Schauffele Plaza and Cricket Avenue.

Flaggers will be out during the work hours to direct traffic.

Some work will be done during the day, closing Cricket Terrace from Schauffele Plaza to Cricket Ave.

Other work on Cricket Avenue will be done at night on Thursday, Nov. 2, after 8 p.m., the township said.

Expected completion for this section is Nov. 3.


Work on Anderson Avenue

Crews will be working on Anderson Avenue between Montgomery and Lancaster avenues, Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Crew will be working in the west lane, which will be closed.

Flaggers will use “stop” and “slow” signs to alternate both directions of traffic through the one open lane.

Expected completion for this section is also Nov. 3.


Work on Lancaster Avenue

Crews will be working between Woodside Road and Anderson Avenue to splice cables Monday through Friday night, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Flaggers will be out to direct traffic for the lane closure.

Crews will be using machine to pull cable into installed ducts.

Expected completion is Friday, Nov. 10.
