Felony Burglary Charges Filed After Lower Merion Home Break-Ins

Two homes on Upland Road in the Merion Station section of the township were burglarized in recent days, according to Lower Merion Police.

MERION STATION, PA – Lower Merion Township Police arrested a suspect believed to have been involved in two home burglaries in the Merion Station section of the township, according to police and court records.

Police said a home on the 200 block of Upland Road was burglarized sometime overnight Tuesday, July 17.

The suspect, identified as Moriba S. Perry Jr., 18, of Philadelphia, got inside through an unlocked basement door, police said.

Cash, an iPhone, an iPad, and keys were stolen from the home, according to police.

Then, at about 1 a.m Thursday, police were called to a home on the same block for a burglar alarm activation.

Police later found and arrested Perry.

Perry has been charged with felony burglary and felony attempted burglary, as well as theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, identity theft, and related charges, according to court records.

He was held on $5,000 bail after his preliminary arraignment Thursday, court documents show.

Perry is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on July 27, according to court records.
