Gray's Lane Closing For Sewer Work

The work and closure were scheduled for Monday. Oct. 9, but steady rains postponed it.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Grays Lane in the Haverford section of Lower Merion Township will be closed Tuesday, Oct. 10 for sewer repairs, the township said.

The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between West Montgomery Avenue and Laurel Lane. The road will also be closed Wednesday, Oct. 11.

"Road Closed Ahead" signs will be placed at Montgomery Avenue, Mill Creek Road, Laurel Lane, Cheswold Lane, Elbow Lane, and the road will be completely closed at Glyn Wynne Lane, according to the township.

The road will be open from Mill Creek Road to the work zone in front of the Cricket Club on Grays Lane for residents to access their properties.

Emergency vehicles, buses and residents will not have through access on Grays Lane.

Access will also be provided for the 100 Grays Lane Condominium from the Montgomery Avenue side, but there will not be through access.

Residents will have access to their properties at all times from either Montgomery Avenue or Mill Creek Road. No traffic will be detoured down any of the local private roads.

The work was initially planned for Monday, Oct. 9 but rain postponed the work.
