Lawsuit Alleges Ardmore Restaurateur Fraudulently Got PPP Loan

The Main Line restaurateur, who is already facing a federal lawsuit, is accused of fraudulently obtaining a $223,700 PPP loan.

ARDMORE, PA — An Ardmore restaurateur is facing a federal lawsuit that claims he fraudulently obtained a nearly quarter-million-dollar paycheck protection program loan, all while facing another lawsuit that accuses him of fraud.

Restaurateur Greg Dodge, of Ardmore, is accused in a federal lawsuit filed by Zavino University City LLC of getting a $223,700 PPP loan by making false claims on the loan application.

Dodge is the co-owner of Tredici Enoteca LLC and the head of Zavino Hospitality Group, which operates the Bryn Mawr and Washington DC Tredici Enoteca restaurants, owned by Tredici Enoteca LLC.

The suit alleges Dodge said he was the sole owner Zavino University City LLC, claimed the loan would be used for payroll and other operational expenses despite the restaurant being closed, and that he acknowledged he could face criminal punishment by lying on the application.

Additionally, he is accused by Zavino University City LLC of receiving the loan but never disbursing the funds as he told the bank they would be spent, including making rent payments and employee pay.

Dodge's attorney told Philadelphia Magazine Dodge "looks forward to getting these disputes resolved in court and has no further comment at this time."

Dodge is also facing a federal suit filed by Tredici Enoteca LLC which accuses him of defrauding investors and misappropriating funds.
