Lower Merion Police Arrest California Man Accused of Embezzling

The San Rafael, California man is accused of stealing more than $600,000 from a 96-year-old woman's trust account, local officials said.

ARDMORE, PA – Lower Merion Township Police arrested a California man who is suspected of embezzling more than $600,000 from a 96-year-old woman's trust account recently, according to police in California.

Donald Alan Wilson, 50, who owned Ross Valley Capital in San Anselmo, was under investigation for fraud and embezzlement for two months, Mill Valley Police Sgt. Ryan Smith said.

The alleged thefts occurred over a five-year period starting in 2013, Smith.

Mill Valley police obtained an arrest warrant through the Marin County District Attorney's Office for Wilson on March 29.

Smith said Wilson was taken into custody by Lower Merion Police and could be extradited within two weeks.
