Montgomery Ave. Shut Down In Lower Merion

Montgomery Avenue near Grays and Booth lanes in Lower Merion is closed, according to Lower Merion Township's Facebook page.

The post said a telephone pole fire involving multiple utility wires is to blame for the closure.

Drivers should expect delays when traveling through the area.

PECO was on the scene as of 4:10 p.m. The closure is expected to last at least a half-hour, Lower Merion Fire Department officials estimate.
