Recycle Electronics June 23 At Lower Merion Public Works Complex

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Summer is nearly here, have you finished your spring cleaning? If not, Lower Merion Township is here to help by offering a free "anything with a plug" recycling event at the Koegel Public Works Complex.

From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 23, Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough residents can recycle various electronic items, most free of charge.

eForce Recycling will collect obsolete electronics and wipe any data from them to ensure any private information does not end up in the wrong hands.

Accepted items at the event include:

• laptops
• typewriters
• telephones/cell phones
• cameras
• calculators
• peripherals
• mice
• small appliances
• fax machines
• keyboards
• printers
• computers

Other accepted items have a fee to recycle. They are: $30 per CRT, LCD, LED TV or computer monitor; $100 per rear-projection or wood console TV; $10 per air conditioner, dehumidifier, or microwave.

Credit cards are a form of accepted payment.

Smoke detectors and large appliances will not be accepted.

The Koegel Public Works Complex transfer station and scale house will be closed to all landscapers and residents who want to drop off trash and recycling on June 23 due to event.

The Koegel Public Works Complex is located at 1300 N. Woodbine Ave., Penn Valley.
