REMINDER: DUI Patrols, Checkpoints Begin Friday In Lower Merion Township

It's pretty simple: drive sober or get pulled over. Lower Merion Township Police will be working hard this weekend to enforce that rule.

ARDMORE, PA – In case you missed it, police in Lower Merion Township will be out in force this weekend to combat impaired driving.

According to police, from Friday, Sept. 8 to Sunday, Sept. 10, police will have impaired driving checkpoints stationed throughout the township.

Not only will checkpoints be in place, increased roving patrols will be on the streets looking for impaired drivers.

The weekend-long DUI enforcement initiative is part of a national effort to combat driving under the influence. The motto for the effort is simple: drive sober or get pulled over.

The checkpoints are funded by a PennDOT grant.
