Schuylkill Expressway Lanes Closing Thursday In Lower Merion Area

The left lanes of both east and westbound Interstate 76 will be affected by overhead sign inspections during the day Thursday. Details here.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – PennDOT said drivers on Interstate 76 will experience single-lane traffic in the Lower Merion area Thursday, Jan. 25.

According to PennDOT, the left lane of I-76 west will close from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. between the U.S. 1/City Avenue and Belmont Avenue interchanges in Lower Merion Township.

Then, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the left lane of eastbound 76 will close between the Belmont Avenue and U.S. 1/City Avenue interchanges in Lower Merion.

Crews will be conducting overhead sign inspection work during those times, PennDOT said.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas.
