Sean Hughes Memorial Funding Push Kicks Off March 10

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Merion School District community is planning to officially launch its funding push for a memorial to honor of late Lower Merion High School Principal Sean Hughes.

A Sean A. Hughes Memorial Fund Kickoff Party will be held from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday, March 10 at the Great American Pub in Conshohocken.

The party will help start the fundraising for a permanent memorial, scholarship and children's book in Hughes' memory.

Tickets are $100 each.

Included are one beverage, hors d'oeuvres, one door prize chance, Irish music by Sean Durnin, and a silent auction.

The memorial will be designed by local sculptor and Harriton High School alumnus Miguel Antonio Horn.

Great American Pub is located at 123 Fayette St. in Conshohocken.

Community Rallies For Late LMHS Principal Sean Hughes's Family

Hughes died in a crash the morning of Nov. 13, 2021 in Winslow Township, New Jersey.

His son was injured in the crash as well.

A Pine Hill, New Jersey man was charged with second degree vehicular homicide by operating a vehicle recklessly in connection with the crash.
