Wynnewood Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested In Philadelphia

An accused serial bank robber who is a suspect in the recent Wynnewood bank robbery has been arrested and charged.

WYNNEWOOD, PA – A man accused of robbing three Philadelphia banks and one in Wynnewood in November has been arrested and charged by Philadelphia Police.

Kenneth Reyes, 43, of Philadelphia, was arrested in connection with robberies at three Philadelphia banks that occurred on Nov. 20, Nov. 24, and Nov. 30. He is also being investigated in connection with a bank robbery in Wynnewood on Nov. 26, police said.

Reyes is believed to committed an armed robbery at the Republic Bank at 35 E. Wynnewood Road at about 1:12 p.m. on Nov. 26.

Reyes is also accused of holding up a Citizens Bank branch at 1234 Market St. on Nov. 20, a Wells Fargo Bank branch located at 2005 Market St. on Nov. 24, and a Philadelphia Federal Credit Union branch located at 2136 East Dauphin St. on Nov. 30.

Reyes was arrested by Philadelphia Police and had charges filed against him on Dec. 4, court records show.

He faces robbery, terroristic threats, receiving stolen property, possession of an instrument of crime, and theft by unlawful taking charges.

Reyes was jailed after failing to post 10 percent of $150,000 bail at his Dec. 4 preliminary arraignment.

He is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 18, according to court records.
