5th Home Burglarized In Lower Merion Area Friday: Police

Lower Merion Police said a Penn Valley home under construction was burglarized Friday, making it the fifth residential burglary last week.

PENN VALLEY, PA – A home in Penn Valley was hit by burglars late last week, making it the fifth home break-in in the Lower Merion area last week.

According to Lower Merion Township Police, a home on the 1400 block of Flatrock Road in Penn Valley was burglarized just before midnight on Friday, June 23.

The home was under construction and the burglars got inside through a back window, according to police.

Once inside, they stole four sinks from the home, police said.

Last week, police reported four home burglars in Lower Merion.

The first incident was on Tuesday, June 19 on the 500 block of Montgomery Avenue in Merion. Silver and jewelry were stolen in that break-in.

Then a home on the 200 block of Indian Creek Road was broken into on Wednesday, June 20. Police said it's unclear if anything was taken in the burglary.

Also, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, a home on the 700 block of Cherry Circle in Wynnewood was burglarized and had jewelry stolen.

Lastly, a home on the 2100 Block of Greenbrier Drive in Villanova was hit but burglars and clothing and loose change were stolen overnight Wednesday, June 20.
