Armed Man On Main Line Not ICE Officer: Police
After receiving reports of an armed man at a Main Line SEPTA bus station, police confirmed the person was not an ICE officer.
NARBERTH, PA — An armed man who was spotted on the Main Line Tuesday was not an ICE officer, according to local police.
Narberth Borough Police said they got several calls about an armed man at the corner of Montgomery and Haverford avenues at about noon Tuesday.
Callers, police said, thought the man was an ICE agent.

However, police confirmed the man is a licensed, armed security guard employed by a local school who was waiting for a SEPTA bus.
"There was no ICE activity associated with this incident, and there is no concern for public safety," police said.

Despite the man not being an ICE agent, police reported people shouted profanities at him while he waited for the bus.
"We ask everyone to remain respectful and mindful in our daily interactions," police said.
Tuesday's incident comes on the heels of a handful of ICE operations in the region.
Lower Merion Police confirmed ICE took two people into custody in Penn Wynne on Jan. 30. ICE also took at least one person into custody in Phoenixville last week. And one person was taken into custody by ICE in Lower Providence Township Monday.
