Symphony Square Senior Living Launches Book and Author Series

INSPIRATIONAL AUTHOR DONALD L. BROWN SHARES HIS UNBELIEVABLE JOURNEY on Monday, September 16 at 4 pm

Donald L. Brown, an inspirational speaker and author who writes powerfully of his journey through despair and his renewal of hope, will be the first author showcased in the new Book and Author series presented FREE to the public by Symphony Square Senior Living in Bala Cynwyd. Brown, the author of “The Morphine Dream,” will share his story and meet readers on Monday, September 16 at 4 pm at the residence at 35 Old Lancaster Road, Bala Cynwyd, 19004. After the presentation, cocktails will be served.  Seating is limited and reservations are requested by calling 610-660-6560.

“The Morphine Dream” charts Brown’s personal story of how his father’s suicide spun his family into chaos. A promising athlete, he describes how he became wheel-chair bound and despondent after an accident that crushed his knee. He felt utterly defeated … until he had a dream while taking morphine for pain. His dream was to graduate from Harvard Law School and to get out of that wheelchair and, once again, walk … walk all the way across America! Attendees will discover how Brown accomplished his dream in only three years.

For those who need a dose of hope, or feel that the odds in life are stacked against them, meeting author Donald L. Brown is sure to inspire and provide encouragement. This special presentation will also provide attendees with an opportunity to meet other book lovers in the community. Tours of Symphony Square will be offered.
