I had to go out this afternoon. Believe me, if I didn't have to do it, I wouldn't. What happens to drivers when the rain starts? And the heavier the rain is, the crazier the drivers become.
I was driving the posted speed limit, and an impatient driver behind honked and honked and honked and I couldn't pull over because the street was narrow and he couldn't pass because of oncoming traffic. Thank goodness he didn't try to beat them and wind up in a head-on collision. Anyway. He finally had the opportunity to pass me when the road widened and he zoomed around and cut sharply in front of me to stop at the red light and make a right turn when the light turned green. Good riddance.
Earlier, I was waiting patiently to get into the line of traffic that couldn't go anywhere because of a red light and the cars made sure to block my entrance so I couldn't get in. But, there was one car that stopped and I made sure to wave my appreciation.

Another time, I was in the left lane, waiting to make a safe left turn when a school bus passed on the right. You would think that that would be OK, but the driver went up on the sidewalk, without slowing down, to get around me. I can only think that it's the rain that makes people crazy.
I'm so glad that the snow hasn't started yet. It could always be worse.
