Narberth Rugby: Building Character As Well As Athletes
Narberth Rugby Club begins the Youth Rugby Program this month. Read about the game, the boys and the team.
This spring commencing its 6th season of youth rugby on Philadelphia's main line, Narberth Rugby Club welcomes all 11-18 year old boys who would like to learn & play this fast moving and exciting game. On January 15 at 7pm at Lower Merion High School, Narberth Rugby Club will host an evening for players, parents and supporters at which the coaches will describe the game, talk about the team, its values and the enormous benefits that this sport can bring to the young men who play it. The boys have already been recognized for their outstanding community efforts and their outreach to those in need. In December, the new executive in charge of Rugby Pennsylvania - the new state youth rugby organization made a special award to Coach DeLuca and incoming u19 captain Ben Rowe for the community spirit and services given by Narberth RFC's players during its clothing drive for Hurricane Sandy where they collected, sorted and delivered over 300 bags of clothing to families in need on Staten Island, NY.
