What's the Deal with the Arranged Piles of Rocks?
Thanks to some outstanding investigative journalism on my part, I've figured out what "the deal is" with the arranged piles of rocks you see all over the place.

So you may have noticed the arranged rock piles. There's a whole slew of them, all over Lower Merion (and Radnor, I've been told). The first I noticed is at the corner of Conshohocken and City Ave, and there's another on Montgomery in Bala Cynwyd, in front of the thrift store. I've included a photo of this one.
When I saw them I thought:

Something out of the Blair Witch Project?

Strange Public Art?
So, because I'm extremely dedicated to my blog, and to what I'm sure will eventually be award-winning investigative journalism, I googled "rock piles bala cynwyd," and I got an answer.
Turns out there's a nut (self-proclaimed nut. I'm not judging. Well, only a little bit), a dentist named Ed, who goes around and arranges "Rock Sculptures." And when people knock them down, as people are wont to do with easily knock-downable things, he restores them. Maybe dentistry is not quite as fulfilling as one might think.
Why does he do this? Because, as he says on his blog, people "express joy at seeing them." I'm yet to see anybody express "joy" at seeing them. I see people primarily express confusion. But now that I've dispelled said confusion, there can be more joy. As much joy and happiness as a small tower of rocks can provide.

Thanks for reading. Coming up next: I'm going to produce competing public art, and bring "joy" to Bala Cynwydians and Narberthers, and Radnoronians. Or, is this just a ploy so that I could type the "word" "Radnoronian?" You'll have to wait and see.
