City Avenue Bank Robbed Wednesday; FBI, Philadelphia Seeking Suspect
Authorities believe the same man also robbed three Roxborough banks in the past week.

The TD Bank branch at 4020 City Avenue, on the Philadelphia side of the street, was robbed Wednesday morning, and authorities believe the same person has also robbed three Roxborough banks since Aug. 29, an FBI spokesman announced Wednesday afternoon.
The robbery at TD Bank took place about 8 a.m., just after the bank opened, said J.J. Klaver, spokesman of the Philadelphia office of the FBI. The suspect was described as a very thin white man in his 20s, between 5 feet, 7 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall; he presented a threatening demand note to a teller and indicated he had a gun, then fled on foot with the cash he was given, according to the FBI. No gun was seen, and no one was injured.

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are asking anyone with information about any of the robberies to contact either agency; there may be a reward for information, and tipsters don't need to identify themselves.
