DeLissio sets town hall meetings for July

PHILADELPHIA, July 23 – State Rep. Pamela A. DeLissio, D-Montgomery/Phila., will hold three town hall meetings this month as part of an ongoing commitment to facilitate a dialogue on issues facing the 194th Legislative District as well as legislative priorities for all of Pennsylvania.

Constituents are encouraged to enjoy a hot dog and get the “inside-baseball” scoop at three meetings titled “How Politics Sabotages Public Policy,” scheduled for July 25, 29 and 30.

"Policies that were of importance to Pennsylvanians were not advanced this budget season," DeLissio said. "Major initiatives such as basic education, transportation funding and Medicaid expansion fell victim to majority-party infighting and disagreement about priorities with the governor. The back story will be told about how these casualties occurred and more importantly, how we can move forward in a way that truly benefits our citizens.”
