About Sky SoupArt Center
Located in Bala Cynwyd, Sky Soup Art Center offers art education that is creative, enriching, nurturing and fun! The studio is a place where people can communicate visually in a variety of media, including drawing, painting, animation, printmaking, sculpture and textile dyeing.
Children, and teenagers can choose from after-school programs, art camps over spring & summer break, Saturday workshops, and art birthday parties. In addition, Heather also offers sensory exploration classes for young children 3+ and their grown-ups on weekday mornings. One day a week, she offers a class for adults to gather, create, and learn new art techniques.
The mission of the Center is to use art to help children learn that problems have more than one solution. Through the art projects they undertake, children begin to understand that there are many ways to see and interpret the world. And by developing their vision and working through the materials, they develop good judgment, rather than knowledge, about rules. These themes help children joyfully grow their visual voice as they find the unanticipated possibilities of their expression as their work develops.
