Elysian Camerata Chamber Music Concert

Elysian Camerata will perform chamber music for strings on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Church of St. Asaph, 27 Conshohocken State Rd. Bala Cynwyd, PA. Included in this program is Stamitz: Duo No. 1 in D major for Two Violas, Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 7 in F-sharp minor and Schubert String Quartet in D minor, D. 810: "Death and the Maiden". Guest violinist Leah Kim will join the ensemble for this program. The concert will be presented ‘in the round’ and a meet-the-artists- reception will follow the concert. Elysian Camerata is a Philadelphia-based ensemble that began as the occasional collaboration of few close friends, who all felt a common bond in their love for chamber music. This dynamic ensemble, comprised of 2 violins, 2 violas, cello and piano, explores the unlimited diversity that exists in the chamber music repertoire. They present programs that offer a variety of ensemble sizes and types, created both from within their core group as well as with guest artists.
